Natural Language Processing

After reading dozens of books, PhD papers/thesis, webpages, etc on everything from semantics, linguistics, logic, etc, Dan developed a system to model human language down to the concept level so that reasoning (like a human does) is possible. The system is also able to learn new concepts/rules from plain English (eg: A dishwasher is someone who washes dishes) and search for answers from plain English questions (eg: Who traveled to Miami to buy something that has an engine).

Automated Trading

Dan wrote from scratch, a system that pulls in millions of datapoints per day from multiple brokers for futures, stocks, options. The system builds models of where money is moving globally or within individual symbols an executes trades. This system has been running since 2008, and has traded as much as $15 million per day
